Programs

At Pied Piper, we organize our programs into five different levels to provide children with age-appropriate activities for social play and child-initiated discovery to prepare them for success in school and beyond. Our preschool offers carefully selected materials, games, activities, and children’s literature that will help them develop at each level. Each year, we also have a specialist who comes to visit our classes to teach the kids new skills. This year, we welcomed a specialist who taught American Sign Language to the children.

Pied Piper also strives to offer parents maximum flexibility to accommodate any schedule. Whether you are a working parent, a single parent, or you are looking for a schedule that works around your unique hours, we are here to help.

Toddlers

Age: 2 Years Old by September 1st

Our Toddlers program is offered one day a week on Mondays from 9:00-11:30AM. The program is run by two teachers and has no more than nine children. The Toddlers program has age appropriate activities such as using a water table with rice, beans, sand, and other sensory exploration materials. We also offer easel painting and art projects daily, and Play-Doh and manipulatives for muscle development to prepare for writing. There is story time daily where we choose from a variety of books as well as music and movement activities. Pied Piper also has a large fenced playground for outdoor play time.

Level 1

Age: 2.9 Years Old by September 1st

Our Level 1 program is offered 2 days per week for children who are 2.9 years old by September 1st. This program offers children a first-time experience in a preschool setting and is geared for those with shorter attention spans who need an introduction to school routines. They will learn to be a part of a group and develop invaluable social skills.

Level 2

Age: 3.9 – 4.9 Years Old

Our Level 2 program is offered 3 days per week for children who are 3.9 to 4.9 years old, and is considered the next step for children who have attended preschool twice weekly. Children are accustomed to school routines and are able to focus on tasks. This program helps children develop skills such as listening and following directions, and completing tasks that foster self-esteem, self-control, and respect for others. Many children are prepared to enter kindergarten the following year.

Level 3

Age: 4 Years Old by September 1st

Our Level 3 program is offered 4 days per week for children who are 4 years old by September 1st, and is a Pre-K class for children who will attend kindergarten the following year. Although the preparation occurs here in a similar fashion to the Level 2 class, the extra day provides the children with more exposure to activities and socialization.

Level 4

Age: 5 Years Old by September 1st

Our Level 4 program is offered 5 days per week for children who are turning 5 years old by September 1st, and is also a Pre-K class for children who need a more challenging curriculum. The program is similar to the Level 3 class, but the transition to a 5-day kindergarten program will be easier. We follow the state guidelines for science, technology, and math, providing opportunities for cooking, alphabet books, and more advanced preparedness for the transition to kindergarten.
